New Artist Research

Art and space
Alan bean – is an astronaut and artist who paints his experiences been in space. I liked the strong sense of imagery, the bold expressive style, and use of texture to represent the rocks and rubble on the planet's surface.

Art and people research – sculpture and pencil

Alberto Giacometti

"Giacometti's striding or standing figures find themselves in emptiness and isolation. In this intensive-subjective representation, an existential exposure and angst based on the immediacy of the moment is hinted at. To many they are a reflection of the spiritual situation of the time. Just like his sculptures, Giacometti's drawings and paintings depict the lost human being in the emptiness of space with great intensity and sensibility. The formal characteristics are a graphic network of lines, with which Alberto Giacometti extracted volumes from areas, and an almost monochrome color scheme used in his paintings."

Barry Moser

Barry Moser (born 1940) is a renowned artist, most famous as a printmaker and illustrator of numerous works of literature. His black and White symbolic images, capture the essence of the subjects, creating dark interpretation of their personality. I like his technique of drawings, using lines in order to build up the image. See examples below:
